On Thursdays we take part in a Tuakana Teina experience with the year 3 and 4 children in Pae Ake.
This is a great opportunity for us to get to know some of the other friendly faces around the school and build connections to help us learn. It allows us to build confidence and make more friends that we can recognise in the playground.
Each week we have a new activity to complete together! This week we practised being Aronui and caring for our new friends.
Toby worked together with Cooper from Pae Ake to build with the blocks
Ruby from Pae Ake was being an Aronui by sharing her gel pens with Mia
Coltyn from Pae Ake taught Tane, Khalid, Zach T and Jayjay how to use the racing track
Koni-Leigh and Ella loved colouring with the big girls!
Charlie and Aurora worked with Conrad and Beau to colour their pictures. Conrad and Beau even shared their coloured pencils with us!
