Sea Animal Explore!

We had so much fun this week learning about all the different animals that live in our oceans! We learned about how different animals can breathe underwater (and why we can't), and we also learned lots about how we can help to keep the sea animals home safe.

As well as understanding our global responsibilities, we also practised helping and supporting our friends. We learned that helping isn't always about doing something FOR someone, but about teaching them how to do it for themselves.

Check out some photos of us hard at work!

Kupa loved sorting the shark cards into different groups

Mackenzie coloured and cut out carefully to create her very own fish puppet, she even added gills!

Zach T, Ryan and Courtney were working together using their Maths knowledge to read the numbers on the fish

Luca W, Aurora, Maia and Ava were working hard to make their own sea animal puppets

Ruby, Logan P and Mia were carefully counting and graphing the number of sea animals in the pictures!

Nina, Ruby and Semi made some fantastic posters reminding people not to litter so we can protect our oceans and our sea animals!

Courtney and Mackenzie worked together to make a beach for their sea animals to live on

Charlie and Tane were very proud of their shark puppets - they even added their own gills!

Charlie thought of a created a rubbish filter to get the rubbish out of our oceans. He carefully thought through each step and gave a thorough explanation about how it works!

Luca carefully coloured and labelled the different parts of her sea turtle

Semi and Elijah built an aquarium to protect all the injured sea animals

Tane, Charlie and Jack worked together to support each others ideas and came up with a really cool puppet show. They used their sea animals to explain why people need to look after the oceans!
